THE POSITION

The Underwriting Analyst is responsible for underwriting consumers who have applied for solar financing.  SolarAccess Energy is looking for someone who is interested in the renewable energy sector and in a stable work environment on a transaction processing team.

Key responsibilities include:

• Completion of Underwriting Tasks within expected service levels at pre-determined quality level
• Perform analyses on consumers to verify they are a qualified / desired candidate
• Perform analyses on solar asset production estimates and utility bill information to ensure that solar assets will perform as expected
• Evaluate recorded phone calls for determine understanding of terms and potential fraud detection
• Review documents for consistency and accuracy of information
• Data Entry
• Interact with external business partners to obtain sufficient and correct paperwork
• Routine Reporting Tasks and Report delivery
• Organize paperwork and submit documentation to contribute to fund reporting
• Contribute to additional special projects within Financial Operations as needed
• Other duties as assigned

THE POSITION

The Sr. Manager of Structured Finance & Portfolio Management is responsible for the day-to-day accounting operations, and management of the month end close process, monthly reporting, technical accounting research, contract review, policy implementation and documentation, and all relevant support for audits and tax compliance.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead negotiations and structuring with financing counterparties for large-scale solar assets, including raising tax equity, construction debt, term debt, and other financial products
• Manage performing all aspects of transaction execution including project marketing, negotiation of financing terms, investor due diligence, structuring and financial modeling, internal project management
• Running routine meetings with third party capital providers and lenders and maintaining relationship
• Build out and oversee Fund Management Team including but not limited to:  accurate external and internal fund reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, Tracking and ensuring compliance of all of our obligations under the fund transaction documents,
• Updating financial models of existing tax equity funds and debt facilities on a monthly basis
• Prepare and maintain complex energy project models to be used for valuation, scenario analysis, optimization, marketing and third-party presentations and negotiations.
• Prepare offering materials, including powerpoint presentations and offering memoranda
• Prepare analysis to support business development opportunities such as new markets, customer segments or technology applications

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 5-8 years’ experience building and maintaining complex financial models and executing on financial transactions, including negotiations and closings related to project financings, equity or debt offerings, M&A or similar transactions. Experience at top tier investment bank, private equity firm, corporate development team or project development experience preferred.
• Detailed understanding of renewable energy tax equity and debt structures, including understanding of merits and structure of partnership flip and lease pass through tax equity structures.
• Strong financial modeling skills
• Strong communication skills required. Must be able to clearly articulate and communicate complex financial information and issues to management and investors.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.

THE POSITION

The Human Resource (HR) Manager is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with departmental managers.  The HR Manager will be measured on internal client satisfaction and hitting key performance indicators.

Responsibilities & Skills:

• Develop, Interpret and explain human resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, and/or regulations
• Develop, Launch and Administer company 401k plan
• Oversee health benefits program
• Oversee Payroll process including budget monitoring
• Onboard employees and process hiring-related paperwork

• Play a critical role in the development and maintain of company culture.  Includes but not limited to: organization/ planning events, creation of team building events, development and oversee launch of company swag

Experience and Qualifications 

• Minimum three years’ experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified

THE POSITION

The Underwriting Manager is responsible for ensuring that the consumer underwriting process and the solar system underwriting process are conducted in accordance with contractual obligation and/or SolarAccess Energy’s standard operating procedures.  The Underwriting Manager will be expected to serve as a single point of contact for day-to-day Underwriting operations while also working frequently with senior management to ensure that the unit is supporting company and operations team objectives

Key responsibilities include:

• Manage and oversee the procedures and output of the Underwriting Team
• Manage and oversee the Servicing Booking Process
• Pipeline Management
• Support all ownership transfer processes 
• Develop and implement regular reporting to senior management including but not limited to dashboard development
• Work collaboratively within the company to ensure new capabilities, policies, products, and tools are designed appropriately and implemented to minimize disruption 
• Develop and identify process and/or programs to improve accuracy, speed and volume for underwriting
• Manage effective coordination with third party contractors
• Manage both local (Houston) and remote team members
• Additional duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience managing projects is desired but not required
• 3+ years’ experience in positions of progressively increasing responsibility
• 2 to 5 years’ experience managing underwriting or financial operations
• Experience working in a call center is desired but not required
• Experience in building software requirements is desired
• Proven Strong Microsoft Excel Skillset
• Experience in Analytic platform
• Manage and track multiple requests simultaneously
• Well-organized, driven, a self-starter and attentive to details. Demonstrate strong organizational skills for her/himself, the team, and third-party vendors
• Proactively address situations that could create downstream issues
• Able to tactfully, yet firmly, negotiate with internal business partners or third-party vendors
